The Trace – A Side Table in Cherry, Ash & Epoxy

The Trace celebrates the story of the tree rather than concealing it.

Crafted from solid cherry wood, the tabletop preserves the natural traces left behind over decades of growth. Wormholes, organic markings and the unique character of the timber have been intentionally retained instead of removed. Rather than hiding these features, translucent green epoxy stabilises and preserves them, allowing the history of the wood to remain visible while creating a striking contrast between nature and craftsmanship.

The tabletop is supported by a sculptural four-leg base handcrafted from solid European ash. Its flowing form complements the organic character of the cherry while creating a light, balanced silhouette.

Designed as both a functional side table and a statement piece, The Trace is an expression of honest materials, thoughtful craftsmanship and the beauty found in natural imperfections.

• The underside of the tabletop is less refined than the visible surface. Due to the complexity of filling natural voids with epoxy, small open cavities, air pockets and other imperfections remain underneath. These are not visible during normal use, do not affect the stability or functionality of the table, and are considered part of its handcrafted character.
